Dr. LaPoint is a Ph.D., P.Geo. geologist credited with discovering the tier-one Merian Mine (acquired by Newmont) in 2003. He has also overseen landmark discoveries at the Rosebel Mine (Zijin Mining) and Omai Gold Mines in Guyana, accumulating decades of Guiana Shield expertise. He is a Qualified Person as defined under National Instrument 43-101.

Rayiez is a key exploration geologist who was an integral team member at Iamgold's Pikin Saramacca project in Suriname, helping fast-track exploration towards 1.5 million oz of proven and probable mineral reserves. His in-country expertise and operational knowledge of Suriname's geology are central to advancing the Tapanahony Gold Project.
